Airport Hotel Shop

Based on the existing Airport Parking Shop website, Airport Hotel Shop was built to provide customers a single place where they are able to compare the price and availability of UK airport hotels. Techniques for capturing 3rd party product options using XML feeds and screen scraping (automatic scanning of a web page, to find relevant information) were e-commerce facilities were integrated.

In addition, search engine optimisation and visibility were key factors to drive relevant traffic. Respectable search engine marketing techniques were used to improve the visibility of the website, while simultaneously enhancing usability and providing added value to the customer.

Bespoke tools for real time tracking of users and sales through the site were also built, that were also able to successfully estimate projected sales volumes and revenue generation.

In order to help reduce cost to serve for the business, a email newsletter mailing system was built to allow the company to contact it's existing user base, promote new offers and also to help keep the name Airport Hotel (or Parking) Shop in their customers minds. These monthly emails were individually built and sent to subscribed users, and again were tracked through the bespoke tracking tools.

Finally, an affiliate system was build around the new website to enable easy management of affiliate websites; features included easy account creation, self-billing invoices, automated payment management facilities, payment alerts, and fine tuned commission structuring.
